Francesco Lazzaretti

Vicenza 1899

Francesco Lazzaretti worked in Vicenza in the second half of the 19th century and produced several instruments in the Venetian style of that era, often working on behalf of the De Lorenzi organ builders’ family.

Throughout his life, he built some instruments under his own name, using a personal model with very open “C” bouts and significantly shortened points.

These distinctive features can be found in this particular instrument, characterized by unique curves, proportions, and arching that are overall pleasing and original, lending the instrument a rich sound and volume.

With great projection and volume, the instrument possesses a beautiful, mature voice that has developed over more than a century of its existence.
