Double bass

The shape of the double bass has always been a source of great curiosity and interest for us at Grisales Violin Making in Cremona. We have extensively studied this instrument in search of the perfect balance between size and acoustics.

After years of refinement, we have managed to find a compromise and have designed a 3/4 model that can be set up with 4 or 5 strings. It is versatile, ergonomic, powerful, dark, and rich in tone across all registers.

In 2006, this model led us to win the silver medal at the 11th International Triennial Competition of Violin Making in Cremona.
